INTERACTION
It was this brave uncle that first initiated the conversation.
Through our conversations, I learnt that they are contented with what they have, however they have a heartfelt desire for increased interaction from younger generations.

OBSERVATION
Although I observed that they primarily congregated in the void deck, there is a sizable plaza adjacent to it.
Upon examination, it became evident that the plaza lacks sufficient amenities and shading.
Noticing their regular presence in the void deck prompted a thought in my mind.

Though the plaza space is under utilized due to the pandemic, I felt that there is still a lot that could be done, even post pandemic.
The elderly that usually sits under the void deck stays within the void deck is due to 2 reasons: shelter, and tables.

Based on previous considerations, I’ve decided to base my design off of the dimsum plates.
Reason being, dimsum is a chinese cuisine that is meant to be shared with other people, and in similar fashion, the space is meant to be shared with the other residents of Toa Payoh Central.

ANGLED LOUVERS
LOUVER DIAGRAM
The louvers are positioned at an angle that creates a sense of motion while maintaining a fixed position.
Louvers were specifically chosen due to its excellent ventilation properties while also allowing light to permeate into the space within.
The chairs and tables are deliberately crafted to be identical, symbolizing equality. Regardless of your perspectives, race, or religion, all are welcomed here, and are part of the community.

This was done for the people whom feels that void deck lacks privacy, the louvers are meant to encourage people to come together and connect.

Selection
Here, we'll have the material selection process, from choosing laminates and paint colours to tiles, as well as home fittings.
Finalisation
During this step, we will refine your selected choices, including built-in furniture, to ensure a smooth transition to the next step with minimal room for mishaps.
Realisation
We will collaborate closely with our associates, relaying instructions. Expect regular updates on progress and schedules, using "All in one". This would eliminate any potential confusion during this crucial and stressful process.
Completion
In this phase, we'll address any defects or issues that may arise. Once resolved, we will hand over your keys, home sweet home.

<SCHEDULED> is feature that we are implementing with the aim of providing you with all the details that will happen during STEP 6 ▶ Realisation. <SCHEDULED> will contain details of works that will be taking place during realisation.
It will include expected hacking dates, removal dates, and the date of installing carpentry, and other jobs that are mandatory to complete your project.
Also, images will be uploaded and categorised per each work that has already taken place.
<SCHEDULED> will be available for your viewing throughout the duration of your project.
